Problem #2:
Windshield wipers used during taxiing in heavy rain conditions on
the Gulfstream V exhibited high failure rates and loud cockpit noise
as well as numerous operator complaints. Gulfstream Engineering
required smooth aircraft lines associated with any alternate product
design, which would be flush mounted with the existing aircraft
fuselage when stored in flight for reduced aircraft drag.

Cox's Solution:
Custom designed a qualified Windshield Water Disbursement System
(WWDS), including high velocity fan, aircraft ducting and retractable
nozzles meeting Gulfstream design specifications for performance
and installation into the existing aircraft structure. Today the
Cox WWDS is standard equipment on the Gulfstream G350/G450/G500/G550
aircraft families. (click to enlarge)
