Cox & Company receives new contracts for P-8A
Plainview, N.Y. April 19, 2010 Cox received two new contracts from Boeing for additional ice protection systems work on the Navy's P-8A aircraft. Based on the platform of the B-737, the P-8A is currently in the flight test and operational readiness preparation phase with initial operational fleet deployments scheduled for 2013. In 2005, Cox was awarded a contract for the ice protection system for the horizontal and vertical tails as well as the raked wingtips using our patented low power ice protection technology. More recently, Boeing awarded Cox the contracts for the Nose Radome Deicing Control Unit (NRDCU) as well as the heaters and controllers for the wing pylons.
