Cox & Company becomes 100% Employee Owned (ESOP) Company

New York, N.Y. January 1, 2004 — Cox & Company has become a 100% Employee Owned Company effective with the start of the New Year.

Cox & Company, Inc has a long history of employee stock ownership dating back to the original company founder, Duncan Cox. As of January 1, 2004, the company repurchased all outstanding stock to become an IRS qualified Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The Cox ESOP Trustee is First Bankers Trust Company, N.A. of Lester, Pennsylvania.
